The Dantorque actuator is based on the standard hydraulic drive mechanism and standard disc spring packages (for spring-return actuators only). It is a highly engineered product with interfaces and accessories typically customized for each project.

The Dantorque range of actuators includes double-acting and spring return actuators with torque outputs ranging from max. 320 Nm (2800 in lb) to 406000 Nm (3595000 in lb).

For spring-return actuators spring end output torques ranging from 110 Nm (970 in lbs) to 182500 Nm (1615125 in lb).

Output Hub

Helix Piston

Bottom Member

The output hub with its adapter interfaces with the valve stem.   The helix piston converts the Actautor linear action into a 90 degree rotary movement.   The Bottom Member guides the output hub in the main housing including bearings.

Also the bottom member provides sealing surfaces for internal and external seals.

Main Housing

Turcon Variseal

The main housing contains the main operating components of the hydraulic assembly.

Dantorque use the Turcon Variseal for all dynamic seals. This provides good sealing efficiency in demanding applications.

Indicator Shaft

Spring Hub

The indicator shaft enables direct position indication.

The spring hub provides location for the floating spring package.

Connector Flange

Spring Package

The connector flange provides location for the spring housing.

The spring package stores and generates the force required to provide the torque for the fail safe stroke of the actuator.

Ball bearings located in grooves between the Belleville disc springs keep the discs in place and ensures smooth operation.

Spring Housing

Spring Return Actuator

The spring housing contains the spring package.

Finally the hydraulic assembly is placed on the centre of the spring assembly.

The springs are compressed and a lock-ring put in place.
